What started as a phone call on Saturday morning from GW-Leidingtechniek resulted in an early Sunday morning in which we stood with 4 trailers material, a telescope crane, and 3 mechanic at RWZI Zwaanshoek.
GW-Leidingtechniek has a calamity contract on behalf of Hoogheemraadschap van Rijnland. In this calamity, GWL quickly realized that the use of a temporary pumping installation (TPI) was necessary and that is why we left directly to RWZI Zwaanshoek as a permanent partner. Upon arrival, it was found that a tube had been hit on the rwzi site, there was overpressure in the tube, which flooded the entire site of the RWZI. On location, we looked at the possibilities for the use of a TPI. In Zwolle they started preparing and loading the necessary materials.
The TPI was set up within a few days, which was later expanded with a mobile fine screen installation and a second pump set for pumping back primary sludge.
